Gold Shoes for Spring | Walkin' on Sunshine

Metallic hues can be surprisingly versatile. Gold, silver, and rose-gold footwear can act as a neutral (and achieve go-with-everything-status) or can become a statement accessory when paired with neutrals (like black, white or beige). I have a pair of quilted gold-tone ballet flats that have been worn into the dust. I found them at Crossroads Trading Company almost five years ago and they've gotten so shabby, they need replacing and have been added to the top of my shopping wishlist. Lucky for me, metallic shoes and sandals happen to be a big trend this Spring, so there are numerous styles available.

Some of my current favorites (clockwise from top right):
Zara patent sandal $99, Kate Spade Gwen flat $258, Modcloth Cinnamon Scones heel in Sugar $59,  Dr. Marten's boots, Steve Madden Tuddor oxfords $69, Marni two-tone heels $685, ASOS Bozena flats $75, Opening Ceremony Penny platforms $470, Christian Louboutin Druide spiked sandals $995
